Hearing Test

Our FREE Hearing Check uses a range of tones played at varying levels and you will be asked to identify how many tones you hear in each sequence.At the end of your simple FREE three minute Test we will show you a complete PTA type Graph to show the hearing range of each ear.

Please notice: This app is not medically proved/tested, Do not increase the volume level. AnchorSoft will not be responsible for any damage, problem. Also, do not reply on its test, if you get some up/down going graph in this app, that means you must visit your Hearologist/ Doctor.

How to Use:

1. Calibration.

To start hearing test first calibrate the volume of device, the lowest volume on which the sound can be heard using ear phones. Tap "Start Calibration" button and move slider thumb to minimum, then increase slider position gradually, when you heard sound tap the "Stop Calibration" button. Now can start hearing test.


2. Select Auto or Manual Mode.

Auto Mode.
In auto mode the pointer moves automatically to the next point and play the sound of specific frequency and volume. In auto mode user can also move Left, Right, Up and Down using buttons in the middle of buttons panel. Left Ear and Right Ear option are changing automatically when Left Ear test completes the Right Ear test will start and the pointer become Red in color.
TO start test tap the "Start" button, the pointer will start moving. On every point on graph the pointer play sound of specific frequency and volume when you heard the sound at point on which the pointer is, tap the "Mark" button it will draw "x" mark on that point for Left Ear and if it is Right Ear test then it will draw Red color Circle on that point.

Manual.
In Manual mode the pointer do not move automatically instead the user have to move it to specific point using Left, Right, Up and Down buttons. The start button is disabled in this mode.

3. Graph.

When the Hearing Test of both Ear's complete the "Show Graph" button will appear, on tapping that button the application will draw a Graph for both Ear's on the points on which the user heard sound, this graph is something similar to the graph produced by hearologist during a 'Pure Tone Audiometry' test.

4. Reset.

The Reset buttons is used to clear data of previous test and user can start the new test.

Please note that the HearingTest is not a diagnostic test and does not cover all aspects of hearing. The HearingTest should not replace regular audiometric testing provided by a registered hearing aid dispenser or through your GP. Your GP will be able to refer you appropriately if you would like a full audiological assessment if you suspect that you have a hearing impairment. The HearingTest has not been designed for use by children. Children should always be seen by a GP and referred for full diagnostic testing if there is any concern over their hearing. The aim of this Hearing Test is to help identify people who think they may have a hearing loss and encourage them to take action. The results of the HearingTest cannot be regarded as clinical data.
